Fishing: The river Tweed, one of the countries finest Salmon and Trout rivers runs through the heart of the valley, and with a vast selection of private fisheries in the area it has to stand out as one of the prime locations to enjoy the sport.
Peebles is also a great place to stay if visiting Scotland's capital city, with Edinburgh only some 25 miles North of the town

The world of mountain biking is accessible to all abilities, from the family out for a gentle cycle ride, to the folks who will be competing at the 2011 UCI Mountain Biking World Cup at Fort William. The Event is now into its 10th year and is attracting the biggest names in the sport. Past event main sponsor include some big names and this event really does generate interest, so get your entry and tickets early for this world-renowned event.
